Obituary for Marcy Ann Lundgren

At Marcy’s request, a private family memorial service will take place at Cron-Sheehy Funeral Home, Eveleth with Rev. Mickey Olson of the Peace United Methodist Church in Virginia officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Hospice.

Marcy A. Lundgren, 87 of Eveleth, died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 19, 1930 in Eveleth to Oscar and Eva (Jamtoos) Nelson. Marcy was united in marriage to Lee J. Lundgren for 65 years. She was a graduate of Eveleth High School and Abbott Northwestern School of Nursing in Minneapolis and was a lifelong Eveleth resident.

Marcy was a member of the Peace United Methodist Church in Virginia, was a very active member of the former Eveleth United Methodist Church and attended Sun Lakes Arizona United Methodist Church. She was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star, PEO, Job’s Daughter’s, the Sun Lakes Arizona Swedish Club and the Five O’clock Somewhere Ladies Group. She enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, traveling with Lee, entertaining and opened her heart and home to many! Marcy was an avid reader and loved a good crossword puzzle. She especially loved her time with family and will always be remembered for her gentle touch, quiet strength, grace, and selflessness.

She is survived by her children, Lee Anne (Dale Gilbertson) Lundgren, Karen (Corey) Husu, Bruce (Holly) Lundgren, Chrissy (Joe) Summary; grandchildren, Laura (Troy) Hughes, Bryan Brown, Alyson (Joseph) Mulheran, Jonathon Husu, Hayley, Olin and Anneka Lundgren, Claire, Nelson, William and Viva Summary; great-grandchildren, Jack, Erin and Luke Hughes; brother-in-law, Frank Rosati and sisters-in-law, Peggy Nelson and Marianne Lundgren; one niece and four nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lee, who died on August 5, 2017, a sister, Lorraine Rosati and two brothers, Leonard Nelson and John Nelson.
