LeeAdelle Theresa “Boots” Parlanti, 87, of Eveleth, was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at St. Raphael’s Health & Rehabilitation Center in Eveleth. She was born on March 29, 1930 in Monroeville, Ohio to Herman “Moxie” and Viola Adelle (Millis) Weis.

“Bootsie” graduated from Eveleth High School and attended Eveleth Junior College. She was united in marriage to Louie Parlanti on September 24, 1952 in Eveleth. She served on the Resurrection Catholic Church parish council and was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Margaret #1888. She taught religious education at the former Immaculate Conception Church and served as a member of the former St. Anne’s Guild. She also participated as a neighborhood Cub Scouts den mother.

“Boots” will be remembered for her affectionate smile, generosity, and especially her hospitality. She had a gift for making the ordinary things in life special. Everyone she encountered benefited from her wisdom, her love, and of course her delicious cooking. She enjoyed reading, walking, her time in the kitchen, but most of all, her faith and her family. In her final days she gave thanks and praise to God for giving her the strength to endure another day of ALS and for the love and devotion of her husband Louie who was always by her side.

She is survived by her husband, Louie; sons, Jeffrey (Ginger) of Grand Rapids, Roger (Jill) of Apple Valley, daughter, LeeAnn of Hibbing, and Johnny Ek, who she loved like one of her own; grandchildren, Sarah (Jeff) Pearson, Megan (Bryan) Belcher, Joshua, Hilary, and Zachary Parlanti; great-grandchildren, Emilia and Olivia Pearson.

She was preceded in death by her first son, Michael, her mom and dad, and her sister Charmaine.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caregivers at St. Raphael’s for the compassionate care given to “Boots”.
