Obituary for Alda A. Oven

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Resurrection Catholic Church, Eveleth. Fr. Michael Garry will be celebrant. Visitation will be one hour before at the church. Interment will be in Eveleth Cemetery.

Alda A. Oven, 86, of Minnetonka, formerly of Eveleth, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at her home. She was born on January 28, 1930 in Gilbert to John and Elsie Angeloni. Alda graduated from Gilbert High School and began working at Northwestern Bell. She was united in marriage to Frank W. Oven on November 12, 1960 in Gilbert and following her marriage, became a homemaker. Alda loved her family and grandchildren. She especially was proud of being a great-grandmother. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, classical music, cooking and going to the casinos.

She is survived by her children, William (Mary) Oven of Zimmerman; Connie (Douglas) Hall of Savage; Jackie (Paul Koehler) Oven of Woodbury; James (Tika Kude) Oven of Plymouth; grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Bjostad, Steven, Kristina, Victoria; great granddaughter, Elizabeth; sister, Lillian (Rudy) Fadlovich of Woodbury; sisters-in-law, Beverly Angeloni of Gilbert; Alice Beci of Chicago, Illinois; brother-in-law, Anthony of New York and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; parents; brothers, Reno and Victor and sister, Mary Frajola.
