Family and friends are invited to visit on Wed., Aug. 15th from 1-2:00 p.m. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will be on Sat., Aug. 18th at 10:00 a.m. in the Eveleth Cemetery in Eveleth, MN.

Jon N. Myntti, 72, of Martinsville passed from this life on Fri., Aug. 10, 2012 in Indianapolis.

He was born on March 11, 1940 in Virginia, MN to the late William Warner and Irene (Hamalainen) Myntti. He received his master’s degree in electrical engineering from North Dakota State University and spent the remainder of his life dedicated to engineering, designing and creating electrical projects.

Jon was an electrical engineering professor at North Central Missouri Technical College, where he retired in 2002. He had previously been an electrical engineer for NASA and a Computer Engineer/Designer for the Reporter-Times in Martinsville.

On July 10, 1965 he married Gail (Bartolus) Myntti, who survives in Martinsville.

He was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Martinsville, lifetime member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Missouri Lions Club and a member of the Mensa International. He had a passion for corvettes, computers and creating electronic devices.

Survivors include his wife, Gail; three sons, William Myntti of Madison, IN, Michael Myntti of Martinsville and Don Myntti of Newark, OH; brother, Warner Myntti of Paris, MI; three grandchildren, Arlynda Lessard, Lenise Asher and Ben Sunnenberg and four great grandchildren.
