Edward l. "Ets" Tomsich

Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Eveleth with Rev. Frank Perkovich as officiant. Visitation will be one hour before the mass at the church. Private Family inurnment will be in Eveleth Cemetery.

Edward L. “Ets” Tomsich, 81, a longtime Eveleth resident died Monday, February 1, 2010 at St. Raphael’s Health & Rehabilitation Center in Eveleth.

He was born on July 8, 1928 in Gilbert, Minnesota to John and Theresa (Mikilich) Tomsich. Edward was united in marriage to Marcel Ann Rozinka on May 27, 1950 in Eveleth. He worked for many years at Minetac and also for Polski as a roofer. Edward was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church. He enjoyed cutting wood, listening to polka music and dancing.

He is survived by his children; Kathy (Terry) Berger of Broomfield, Co., John Tomsich of Eveleth, Mn. and Robert Tomsich of Platteville, Co.; grandchildren, Karie (Bryan) Haarhues, Jesse Berger; great grandchildren, Sydney and Madyson Haarhues

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marcel and numerous brothers and sisters.
